This training introduces the Protocol Gateway, enabling effortless access to machine data from Cumulocity using 300+ protocol adapters. Running in a docker container without specific hardware requirements, it deploys directly from Cumulocity to thin-edge.io devices. Learn how you can translate OT protocols like Modbus, BacNET and DPN3 as well as manufacturer specific proprietary data formats from PLCs and machinery (lacking MQTT or OPC UA support), and send the data to Cumulocity.
